Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 November 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all removals, man and van, packing, storage and related services provided by Removal Remedy ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote, paying a deposit or booking a service with us, you ("the customer") agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, and contact us if anything is unclear.

1. About us

Removal Remedy is a licensed and fully insured removals company based at 43 Lancaster Gate, London W2 3NA. You can reach us on 020 3633 7565 or at info@removalremedy.co.uk. We are open 7 days a week.

2. Quotes and pricing

  • We provide free, no-obligation quotes. Larger moves can book a free survey, in person or by video, so the price is exact.
  • House and business removals are normally quoted as a fixed written price. Man and van work is charged at a fixed hourly rate.
  • Quotes are based on the information you give us, such as the volume of items, addresses, access, parking and any extras. If this information changes, we may need to update the price, and we will tell you before the move.
  • The price we quote is the price you pay, unless the details of the move change or extra services are requested.

3. Booking and deposit

Your booking is confirmed when we have agreed the date and details with you. For larger pre-booked moves, we take a 10% deposit to secure your date. The deposit forms part of the total price.

4. Payment

The balance is payable on completion of the move. We accept cash, bank transfer and card, and every van carries a card terminal. Man and van services are paid on completion unless agreed otherwise.

5. Changes and cancellations

There is no charge to amend your booking, such as changing the date, as long as the new slot is available. If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Any cancellation charges will be stated in your written quote or booking confirmation.

6. Your responsibilities

To help your move run smoothly, please:

  • give us accurate information about your belongings, access, parking, stairs and lifts at both addresses;
  • tell us about fragile, high-value or unusual items and anything that cannot be moved safely;
  • not ask us to move dangerous, illegal or hazardous goods; and
  • be present, or have a representative present, at both addresses on the day of the move.

7. Packing, dismantling and assembly

You can pack your belongings yourself, or ask us to provide full or partial packing. Dismantling and reassembly of furniture is available on request and will be included in your quote. Items you pack yourself are carried at your own risk as to their contents and the way they are packed.

8. Insurance and liability

We hold goods in transit, public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Please tell us promptly, and ideally on the day, if any item is damaged or missing so we can deal with it quickly. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

9. Storage, waste removal and European removals

  • Storage: short- and long-term storage is provided on the terms agreed with you at the time of booking.
  • Waste removal: we hold a waste carrier licence and dispose of items responsibly. Disposal photos are available on request.
  • European removals: we provide guidance on customs and documentation, but you are responsible for having the correct documents and for any duties or taxes charged in the destination country.

10. Delays and events beyond our control

We will always do our best to arrive on time. We are not responsible for delays or failure to carry out a service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, traffic incidents, road closures or accidents. We will keep you informed and rearrange the move at the earliest opportunity.

11. Complaints

If you are not happy with any part of our service, please contact us on 020 3633 7565 or at info@removalremedy.co.uk as soon as possible so we can put it right.

12. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in place on the date of your booking applies to your move. Our use of your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
